From the bustling lanes of Lucknow to the serene skies over Ambala, Col VD Singh’s life has been a melody in motion. A multi-instrumentalist and vocalist since his school days, he began with the famous beat group SPARKS in Lucknow.

Over the years, he transitioned into a freelance composer, sound engineer, and professional performer, winning accolades including Best Music Composer at the Jodhpur International Film Festival 2020.

Today, from his Padarth Studio, Col VD experiments with retro Hindi classics, timeless English hits, and soulful jazz, producing music that blends nostalgia with innovation.

As a Vice Chairperson (World Music) at XENA WORLD, he actively promotes cultural exchange through music. Whether performing at the Ladakh Music Festival, flying microlight aircraft in his Army adventure days, or composing for international audiences, Col VD’s spirit remains the same — service through music.

Beyond his music, Col VD Singh takes pride in a distinguished academic career. He holds an M.Sc. in Statistics with Operations Research and engineering credentials in Industrial Engineering, Software Engineering, and Aeronautical Engineering.

His professional affiliations include CSI (Computer Society of India), ORSI (Operational Research Society of India), IETE (Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers), and AeSI (Aeronautical Society of India).

A qualified Project Management professional and Distinguished Fellow of the Centre for Knowledge Sovereignty (CKS), he blends technical expertise with creative artistry, making his journey truly one of discipline, depth, and innovation.
